Flooring in Kennesaw for Every Kind of Household
Kennesaw is a city of nearly 38,000 people, home to Kennesaw State University and growing steadily, with about two-thirds of homes owner-occupied, according to U.S. Census QuickFacts. That creates a flooring market unlike anywhere else in Cobb County: families in established subdivisions, landlords with student rentals near campus, and new townhome owners who want to upgrade what the builder left behind. Whatever kind of flooring in Kennesaw you need, the right choice depends on who lives in the home and how hard they’ll use it.
All Service Floor Covering is a family-owned flooring contractor based in Dallas, about 14 miles west of Kennesaw. We install carpet, luxury vinyl, hardwood, tile, and laminate, with thorough subfloor prep on every project. We also handle commercial spaces, and as a flooring contractor that sells what it installs, we can answer product and installation questions in the same visit. Call (678) 464-3446 or reach us through our contact page.
Start with a free in-home estimate. Our mobile showroom brings samples to your door, which is a lot easier than fighting Barrett Parkway traffic to shop for floors. If you’d rather browse in person, our flooring store in Dallas is open weekdays from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Matching the Floor to the Household
The biggest mistake we see in Kennesaw homes is a floor that doesn’t fit the people living on it. A rental near campus needs a surface that shrugs off scratches, spills, and move-in dollies. A family home near Kennesaw Mountain needs something that handles kids, pets, and muddy shoes after a hike. A quiet bedroom wing needs comfort and sound control. A good flooring contractor asks how each room gets used before recommending anything, and that’s where every one of our estimates begins.
Laminate is a good example. It’s affordable and tough, but not all laminate is built the same. Boards carry an AC rating from AC3 to AC5. AC3 is fine for most homes, while AC4 and AC5 are made for light commercial and commercial traffic, which makes them worth a look for a busy student rental. Your flooring contractor should explain those ratings in plain language so you’re not paying for more floor than you need, or less.
Georgia’s humidity also plays a role. Hardwood can cup and gap during muggy summers if it isn’t acclimated and installed with the right expansion gaps. We check moisture levels first and wait if readings are high.
Newer townhomes bring a different request. Owners often inherit thin carpet upstairs and sheet vinyl in the kitchen, then replace the main level first and the bedrooms a year or two later. Planning for that second phase now saves headaches. Tell your flooring contractor about it at the first estimate, and we’ll help you choose a product line and color that the bedrooms can match later, so the transition between rooms looks like it was always there.
Flooring in Kennesaw: Our Services
Hardwood Floors
Hardwood flooring in Kennesaw family homes adds warmth to living rooms, dining rooms, and hallways. We install oak, maple, hickory, and walnut, nailed, stapled, or glued down depending on your subfloor. Expect two to four days of installation and one to three days of finish cure time.
Laminate and Luxury Vinyl
Landlords near campus usually choose between these two. LVP wins in kitchens, baths, and anywhere water is a concern, while laminate brings strong scratch resistance at a lower price for bedrooms and living areas. Both go down in one to two days, so units turn over quickly.
Tile for Baths and Showers
We dry-lay tile before setting it, so cuts and pattern lines land where they look best, and we make sure there are no voids beneath the tile. Give it 24 to 48 hours before light foot traffic.
Carpet for Bedrooms and Bonus Rooms
Carpet installation in Kennesaw homes usually wraps up in a single day. The old carpet comes out, the subfloor gets checked, and the new carpet is stretched tight so it stays smooth. You’ll choose your padding during the estimate.
Real reviews from homeowners and property owners
Trusted Across Cobb County
We’ve worked across metro Atlanta for 13 years as a family-owned company. Our reviews highlight on-time installs, good communication, and careful cleanup, and we see a lot of repeat customers, including property owners who keep the same flooring contractor for every unit they manage. If you’re renovating a house to sell, the same goes: the flooring store and the install crew are one team, so the product you pick is the product that gets installed.
Kennesaw is part of our regular service area, along with Acworth, Marietta, Powder Springs, and Dallas. Whether you need hardwood flooring in Kennesaw for a family room or new plank for a rental near campus, we’ll plan the job around your schedule.
Awesome work and price! I couldn't find anybody that could beat their price and they were able to come out in 2 days. We also supplied our own carpet and it had a bad spot in it. The guy made sure to turn the carpet so that the bad spot was cut off. I appreciate them paying attention to that detail. Highly recommend, we will be using them again soon for another couple of rooms in our house.
I can’t say enough good things about this company. Family ran. High quality and high attention to detail. We are a local contractor and this is the only Flooring company I trust on our jobs. They have done Carpet tile laminate, engineered hardwood, and LVP for us and always knock it out out of the park! Highly recommend!
We were very pleased with our whole experience. They were timely and always kept us informed of when they would be out. Their work was great. I would highly recommend them. Next project I have I will be reaching out to them. I wish all companies had their work ethic!!

Our floors turned out Amazing!!!! James and Danny did a great job installing. We really appreciate all their hard work. I have already referred All Service Floor Covering to others!! Thank you So much!!!
We could not be happier with our experience! Everything flowed so smooth, the only thing that was difficult was trying to figure out which carpet color we liked best. Pedro & his wife put in our carpet, they were both extremely cautious, kind, fast and efficient! I was shocked how quick the job was done, they made sure everything was nice and clean before they left. We went to All Service Floor Covering on a Friday & the following week we were getting carpet. This is an awesome company as a whole, highly recommend & will be using for the rest of our flooring!

Recently had carpet installed and from beginning to end was a little more than a week!!! No big box stores can compete and they cut out the middleman for the BEST pricing. Installation was excellent and we couldn’t be happier with the ENTIRE team from Kaylee, Catilin to Pedro!!! WELL DONE!!!
Kennesaw Flooring Contractor FAQ
What's the best flooring for a student rental?
Luxury vinyl plank is usually the top pick because it resists water and scratches. A laminate with an AC4 rating is another durable, lower-cost option for bedrooms and living areas.
What does the AC rating on laminate mean?
It measures wear resistance. AC3 suits most homes, while AC4 and AC5 handle light commercial and commercial traffic. Ask your flooring contractor to bring samples of each so you can compare them.
How long until I can walk on new tile?
Light foot traffic is fine after 24 to 48 hours. We seal the grout one to two weeks after installation.
Can you install hardwood in a bathroom?
We don’t recommend it. Bathrooms see too much moisture for solid hardwood. Tile or luxury vinyl is a much better fit, and we can match the look of the hardwood flooring in Kennesaw homes with a wood-look plank.
Can I see your flooring before the estimate?
Yes. Our flooring store and showroom on Hiram Acworth Highway in Dallas carries Mohawk, Beaulieu, and Shaw Industries products. Or let a flooring contractor from our team bring the samples to your Kennesaw home.
Do you work with landlords who own several units?
Yes, and many of our repeat customers do. Share the lease dates with us, and we’ll schedule removal, prep, and installation so each unit is ready for move-in. Choosing a flooring contractor who already knows your preferred product means every turnover after the first one goes faster.
